Common Jeep problems we see
Death wobble on solid-axle Wranglers (JK and JL) leads the list. The fix is rarely one magic part; it's a methodical front-end inspection: track bar, ball joints, tie rod ends, steering damper, and replacing what's actually worn instead of throwing parts at it.
The 3.6L Pentastar's plastic oil filter housing is the other regular. It cracks or its gaskets give up, oil weeps down onto the exhaust, and you get that burning-oil smell on 2011-and-newer Wranglers, Grand Cherokees, and Cherokees. The updated housing design holds up better, and it's a job we do often.
Cherokee KL models from 2014–2017 came with a 9-speed automatic that shifts harshly or hunts between gears; software updates help some, mechanical wear doesn't. The 2.4L Tigershark engine in Cherokees, Renegades, and Compasses is a known oil-burner. Check that dipstick between changes. And Grand Cherokees with Quadra-Lift air suspension develop leaks and compressor failures as the air springs age, usually announced by a truck sitting low on one corner in the morning
